Flu Pandemic

Since people seem afraid to say it we will say it here. Mexico and the USA have PERFECT conditions for the next flu pandemic, which PROBABLY has started. Conditions include economic crisis, poor US and Mexico health services, social unrest in Mexico due to drug war and the nature of the new strain.

There seems to be a working assumption that the economic crisis constitutes such a terrible and rare event that "lightening never strikes twice". But ion reality the conditions of a major economic collapse make the flu pandemic more likely. The US also keeps major forces in Iraq and NATO has major forces in Afghanistan. Once the disease reaches either one of these places it will likely spread widely.
